The demand for homes in East Atlanta is strong.  It’s an area with a rich history,originally occupied by the Creek tribe, then to become a centerpiece of the Civil War’s Battle of Atlanta.  This was an early settled area of Atlanta since Flat Shoals trail extended as far as Savannah and made for a trade route straight through today’s East Atlanta.  The Flat Iron building was built by the East Atlanta Banking Company in 1911.
