Before you search homes for sale in Cabbagetown here’s a little history.  Cabbagetown is an old mill town with many row houses and small streets originally known as Fulton Mill Village.  ‘The Stacks’ which is now a condominium complex located in Cabbage Town was originally a rolling mill and later was ‘The Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill’.  Many of the original residents were workers at the mill which were recruited from Appalachia.  It was a historically poor area even up to the 1970’s.  Of course, like many intown neighborhoods Cabbagetown experience a Renaissance starting in the 90’s.  It’s had a little different vibe than some areas as it has been a center for street art.  Today demand for homes in Cabbagetown is strong Many of the duplex row houses have been rehabbed into larger single family homes.  Cabbagetown mostly consists of these, as well as Craftsman and Victorian era homes.  Another feature of Cabbagetown is it’s commercial district along Carroll Street which contains Carroll Street Cafe and Agave, among others.  So see what’s currently available in Cabbagetown and give us a call with questions or to arrange a showing.
